Samples of tributary water were collected on August 7, 2012 for E. coli
testing.  Click (HERE) to view the test results
compared to ranges of test results for the same locations in previous years,
and a map showing the locations where the samples were collected within the
watershed of the three lakes…Lake Bellaire, Clam Lake, and Torch Lake.

Most of the results were less than 300 colonies per 100 milliliters of creek
water, which is the Health Department’s criteria for full body contact.
Those tributaries that exceed this criteria are candidates for re-testing.
